PL - PHOTOREJUVENATION

PhotoRejuvenation is a treatment designed to produce healthier and younger looking

skin. It is the only procedure that can treat vascular redness such as broken

capillaries, the appearance of Rosacea, pigmented brown spots, uneven skin tone, sun

damage, skin texture and collagen structure all at once. The Aurora™ device uses ELOS

which marries all the benefits of intense pulsed light and optical energy for the

treatment of vascular and pigmented discolorations but in addition to this it is the only

IPL device that is combined with radio frequency which can help tighten the skin and

reduce the appearance of fine lines.

How Does It Work?

Wavelengths of light and radio frequency target abnormally dilated blood vessels

and/or pigmented lesions, heat causes damage to the vessel and/or lesion and the

body begins it natural healing process - this heat also causes collagen synthesis and

skin tightening

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Generally 5 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart are required for optimal result, including

collagen synthesis and skin tightening. In some cases the vascular redness and

pigmented discolorations may be cleared in 2 to 4 treatments.

What Kind Of Results Can I Expect?

Each Aurora treatment will result in a gradual lightening and improvement of pigmented

and vascular imperfections. Textural improvements are seen towards the end of the

treatment series.

Does It Hurt?

You may experience an uncomfortable stinging sensation during treatment similar to

the quick snap of an elastic. The sensation only lasts for a second and you may feel

warmth or tingling sensation for a short time afterward. The Aurora has cooling devices

which will help reduce the discomfort.

Side Effects?

Side effects are usually temporary and can include a mild discomfort of warmth and

tingling, swelling, redness, darkening of pigmented lesions, superficial scabbing,

crusting or blister.
