CNE TREATMENTS

Whether you are a teen or an adult, acne can be a problem. There are three main

factors that contribute to the formation of acne. Overproduction of oil (sebum), pores

becoming clogged with dead skin cells and a buildup of bacteria that causes

inflammation which results in breakouts.

At Kelowna Laser we can treat acne in several different ways.

The Aurora™ Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) machine uses 3 technologies to fight acne.

Infrared and Radio Frequency reduce sebaceous gland activities which reduces excess

sebum production while the blue light destroys acne causing bacteria. Radio

Frequency also promotes collagen rejuvenation and skin tightening which will help

improve the texture of the skin.

Microdermabrasion and Glycolic peels remove dead skin cells from the surface of the

skin and a vacuum suction clears pores of sebum and dead skin cell buildup. This skin

resurfacing will also reduce the appearance of acne scarring.

specifically for acneic skin are prescribed for at home use.
